Planning in situ

Today we got up late, recovering most of our travel days fatigue. We walked to Café de Acá and had breakfast and coffee. Since we had absolutely nothing else planned nor scheduled except our return flight home in two weeks we figured we'd head back to our house for a quick planning session. We have pretty good wifi in our house so online research is easy. Seven! hours later we settled the rough itinerary, booked most of our travel, and reserved our next few nights' rooms.

We could've made more plans in advance but we all appreciated the adventure and figure that we'd have a better feel for where and what we want to do in situ.

Dinner

We supped Restó 1668; it was great. Dad and I had lasagna de la casa and Anthony had a steak dinner with a mushroom salsa and various purées. We shared a bottle of Malbec and a couple of Cerveza Pilsen. It was moist and pleasantly cool on the patio, very pleasant.

Asunción, or at least the few streets we've walked, has interesting garbage disposal. Each property has at least one metal wire basket elevated on a pole near the street curb. They place their garbage in this presumably to be collected regularly. I guess this keeps the vermin from raiding the trash.
