Haiti Relief

I participated in a relief and missions effort in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, 2011 October. The massive earthquake here in 2010 was catastrophic but the country's people already had a pretty rough environment to grow up in. Despite this, the people we met were friendly with lots of smiles. I remind myself to be thankful for my many blessings. But I also remind my self that blessings, wealth in particular, make me soft and eventually numb.
